So I realized my chill boss is not so chill

So my post or my boss isn't as bad as many others who have to suffer the selfishness & greed of assholes, I wanna say that first Now, my boss, she's pretty chill. She understands that all of us have a life & sometimes, it gets in the way or causes us problems & she understands that when it does, we might be late to work or can't show up. Hell, before I even transfered to her store, I asked for a raise cause of gas prices & rent & all that. It was only a quarter bump but I'll take it for now. She even let us get away with some stuff when we're not feeling it or having bad days. Recently though, I & other employees have been noticing that she schedules herself with 2 or even 3 other people to work morning shift with her & leave…

So my post or my boss isn't as bad as many others who have to suffer the selfishness & greed of assholes, I wanna say that first

Now, my boss, she's pretty chill.

Recently though, I & other employees have been noticing that she schedules herself with 2 or even 3 other people to work morning shift with her & leave the night crew (me) with just one other person. Sometimes, if we're lucky, we get a mid, someone who stays 12pm-7pm or we get someone who stays 4pm-8pm. Many of us believe she does this so those who work morning handle pratically running the store & she just sits at her desk doing “manager” work.

For us night crew, we gotta “suck it up, buttercup.” Exact words she would always tell me whenever I ask if we can get some backup. In addition to this, one Saturday, my one other partner & I stayed behind till 12:30am to make the sure the store was clean & tidy. We couldn't do it during our open time cause it was just TWO PEOPLE handling 6 hours of customers coming in. We work at Subway, I guess I should've clarified, huh? Sorry, I suck at posting.
Anyways, we stayed till 12:30am to clean up the disasters the customers left us. When I returned to work, she “is gonna be mean today” (exact words) & told me that I can't stay till 12 cause she gets in trouble. I, regrettably, just took it, apologized, assured her it won't happen again & I had to chew my partner out on it. I felt dirty doing it too.

Fast forward a few weeks, I found out from a different coworker that my boss schedules herself to be at the store at 7:30am & actually shows up & opens the store at 9am, clocks in, & corrects the time to where she clocks in at 7:30am. She has been doing this for quite some time, I assume, because my coworker told me that both the general manager & even the owner of the store are fully aware of this. The general manager is upset about this & the owner doesn't really care or isn't doing shit about it. In addition, I also assume that she got me in trouble for me staying behind until 12:30am cause I bag OT & so does my partner & it means less money for her or she actually does get in trouble, I'm not sure. My coworker told me that on her checks, she gets around $1500 per 2 weeks & in reality, she's only supposed to earn $900. I only make $650 for those 2 weeks.

Now since I know this information & how she's been screwing me over, I have decided that enough is enough. I told all of this to my girlfriend who has more favor in the chain of command in Subway than I do. She is close to her store manager & the general manager & they both like her. Both her store manager & the general manager don't like my boss, so this might be the final blow for them to do something about my boss. She assured me that she'll tell the general manager about all of this & will (hopefully) talk to the owner of the store & my boss about this.

If my boss finds out about this & fires me, she's only screwing herself over because that same coworker who told me all of this also told me that she, her mom, 5 other employees out of 9 total (excluding my boss) will quit if I or someone else out of those 5 others quit. So like 60% of the store's workforce.
If my boss gets fired or loses her position because of this, we have 2 other employees who have manager experience & have managed a Subway store before.

The way I see it, I think we got a win/win situation here. Either she schedules a third for us night crew & starts helping her morning team, or she gets in deep trouble & possibly loses her position.

I'll update with another post or on this one if you guys want an update on this. I hope its a win for us.
