I just need to vent about this. I work at a retail store that sells video games and we have to stand our entire shift. And I’m so fucking tired of standing.
At the end of the night, the key holder has to count the money and I have to clean the store. I tend to start cleaning pretty early, so I usually end up just waiting on the key holder (because I can’t leave until they are finished.) While I wait, I’m required to continue standing. Even though the store is closed and it’s just me and my coworker in the store and I finished all my tasks for the night. When I asked why I can’t sit, they said “They just don’t like to see you sitting on the cameras” (because there are cameras in the store watching us).
I’m sitting here typing this because my feet and my shins hurt from standing for so long yesterday at this stupid fucking job that barely fucking pays me for this. And I have to go into work in an hour just to stand for another 4 hours. I know people have it worse than me but it makes me feel like I’m not even human when I can’t even sit down at work because “THEY” don’t like to see it. Whatever the fuck that means. Sigh..
