I guess I'm only familiar with Colorado and Oregon dispensaries and their prices and pay so I don't know what it's like in other legal states. The cost of an ounce of flower in 2022 cost the same as an eighth of flower in 2015. In 2022, the budtenders at the place I frequent start out at $16 per hour plus tips. I understand this is still not close to a livable wage, but in 2015, they were hiring budtenders at about $13-15 an hour. So how are dispensaries able to keep lowering their prices but still raise their employee wages? Why can't other companies do the same?
