I have been the nicest, kindest, most generous person I’ve ever been over the past couple of years. And I’ve gotten screwed over more than ever before. People seem to not respect kindness. I keep losing out to jerks, psychopaths, and narcissists. Or even just mostly nice people who decide I’m an easy screw-over. What if society rewarded whoever had the best character—not the most knowledge/money?
