Sometimes it’s just the person

I am thinking of quitting a job. For context, it’s a role which requires I use my skills and qualifications at a fairly basic level, and therefore i romp it in. I’ve been there for 4 – 5 years and everything’s been ticking along very nicely until the new manager arrived. Suddenly my work and motivation is being questioned and I’m being thrown under the bus to the board. And here’s the kicker. THIS IS A VOLUNTARY POSITION. It’s with a small community organisation that I feel very passionately about, and that I not only support with my time and expertise, but actually help fund with real $$$s. The biggest barrier to my leaving is my fear that the organisation may actually fall over without my support. All because we now have an incompetent manager on a power trip and why the fuck would I put up with that for…

All because we now have an incompetent manager on a power trip and why the fuck would I put up with that for any reason, let alone when it’s not to put food on the table.

I guess my point is that this organisation is nothing to do with capitalism and yet I still feel r/antiworky because of bad humaning.
