I'm watching my section of America turn into a 3rd world country month by month. I work out at planet fittness, we used to have 2 or 3 homeless meth addicts living in cars in the parking lot. Every month there are new ones now, and it's not your typical homeless. There is a line in the locker room for the sinks and showers every morning. When they open up their bags or lockers sometimes you'll see a target vest, a subway shirt or even a mechanic shirt with their name on it. I've even seen a few moms living in vans with their kids. I have a coworker who has four kids, she has to miss work every week to go to the social services office to get hotel vouchers for the next week or so. One of her kids has health issues and another behavior issues which will take an additional day many weeks. I understand how and why it's happening but I don't understand why we are all just taking it. If some group was formed and people met up I would be into it csuse I'm tired! I feel gross complaining about my 70 orb80 hour workweek because I at least have a car and place to live, if I work 50 hours I get anxiety that maybe I could have done more to delay the inevitable homelessness I'm sure to endure again someday.
