Start Holding Companies Accountable for False Job Descriptions

I have seen so many post regarding jobs not being what they are promised to be. If we can sue companies for false advertisements such as a Whopper being too small or for saying your energy drink has health benefits, why can’t we put the same amount of attention to companies who do the same for false job postings? Job postings are in terms advertising the job. The job description should be plain and simple such as, “You will be doing x, for y dollars, for z hours a week with a chance at raises and all benefits.” I’ve heard managers say, “ Since I’m paying you, I can make you do whatever I want, even if it’s not in the job description and you are not contracted” I believe it’s time to end this practice as it’s not fair to an individual worker expecting to do certain work.
