Started a new “engineering” job earlier this week, turns out the employer neglected to tell me that it was really a factory manager position that sometimes does a little engineering.

A few weeks ago I got a job at a furniture company as an engineer and after 6 months of trying to get a job I was thrilled (even though the $45,000 salary wasn't amazing for an engineering position), I signed a lease and am renting a nice townhouse and was very excited to start. Turns out though that in reality it's more of a factory manager position, taking stock of steel, telling fabricators what to do, writing lists for them, ordering raw material, etc. So far I haven't even touched a computer here. And it's 11 hour days and a 6 hour Friday and not the 10 hour days and 4 hour Friday they told me it would be. And right now I just feel like there's nothing I can do and that they've really stuck me here dreading each day.
