I know it seems a bit counter productive to post this here, but I actually think it's the best spot for it.
I have a business idea. And I'd like y'alls feedback. I want the best setup possible.
I'd like to produce a work environment that is wholly built around the employee:
Support employees over customers
Family over career
Pay or compensate for education
Employer paid benefits (maybe 100% match included)
Competitive wages (shoot me a number here… is 20/hr too little/much/just right?)
-give me ideas-
I've also thought about making it incorporated and also compensating employees in shares of the company (in addition to, not in place of actual wages) . If someone has worked there for 20 years+ (assuming I could stay in business that long), I'd like for their opinion to hold as much weight as the originator regarding the direction of the business.
What is the business? In short, it's a pub.
Elaborated a bit, it's a gamers pub, that would provide food, drinks, places to lounge, “U” couches surrounding TVs with consoles, etc.
Bars aren't usually the best places to work, and I want to make one that people wouldn't utterly hate. I'd prefer for people to actually enjoy working there, but I know that can be a bit much of an expectation.
I enjoy lurking on here, and seeing everyone's thoughts. I'm anti-work and despise my present employer.
I want to be better, and I believe others deserve better as well.
