Still waiting for my final check

I recently changed jobs. My former employer was terrible and I’m so happy to be out of that job. The problem is that 2 days before my final check was due, they deactivated my direct deposit.I know so because I received an email from Paycom informing me of the change. I have a couple other smaller sources of income to cover gas and groceries, but I need that check to be able to pay my rent which by now is late. I live in small rural area and this company is huge in the area. I can’t help but be frustrated and overwhelmed as I wait for the money to arrive. I also can’t help but be infuriated that a huge wealthy company has nothing better to do but jerk former employees around like this. It’s not even a huge check, less than $1500. Ugh
