When people criticize “Boomers” they're criticizing the mindset, voting patterns and economic controls associated with that group. Not LITERALLY ALL BOOMERS. You can be a 21 year old boomer if you're fighting universal healthcare, fighting unions, and denying that there's anything wrong with the country.
I see way too many posts like this, intentionally missing the point, misrepresenting the arguments, and acting like this is all we do. These posts are not constructive, and they contribute nothing except having to explain to the poster AGAIN and AGAIN what punching up means.
People criticizing “Boomers” are criticizing the group that controls most of the country's wealth, have all the political power, and use it to implement a conservative mindset. People within that age range who don't do these things AREN'T BEING CRITICIZED.
Mods need to do something about all of these posts that detract and misrepresent the discussion.
Nobody is criticizing people purely based on their age, this is a pretty obvious strawman, I'm not sure why it's a daily thing that people keep posting stuff like “My mom is that age and she's not like that!”.
These posts do nothing but detract and distract. They shouldn't be entertained anymore.
