I mean, how likely are these companies to abuse such “abortion benefits” to keep women employees from not taking maternity leave? I can totally picture supervisors or managers pressuring women to get abortions.
It makes “financial” sense. Offer women 1-2 days off (not paid, of course) + bus tickets ('cause flight tickets are too much) + abortion clinic costs, which can be deducted from taxes vs. giving time off and having to hire a replacement worker.
Don't be fooled by this move. You're not the reason they're doing this.
