Stupid Question

Hi everyone ️ im new to Reddit and i just didn't know where else to ask my stupid question. I work through a temp to hire agency PEOPLE READY in U.S Detroit Michigan and the company im currently working through WORICK is a very small building with maybe 6 employees (and yes 1/6 im the only black guy) . Funny thing is when i applied i was told the hours were 7am to 3 . So my second day there the guy ,im assuming the supervisor, told me that it's actually mandatory 6 am to 3 everyday……i mean one extra hour not really complaining but starting wondering legally HERE IN MICHIGAN they can't legally make you work more than 48 hours. Is this a lawsuit waiting to happen?, or are they trying to shake off the only black guy to see if i quit? or neh im overthinking it
