Submitted my two weeks notice today and couldn’t be happier

I hate my job. Leadership sucks because they barely know how to turn on their computers but are judged to be good enough to run IT departments and make decisions about how their employees should do their jobs and with what tools. Since COVID, they fired about 1/3 of our staff but not a single supervisor and then absorbed 3 other teams and all their work. Our workloads almost tripled and saw no increases in pay for having our job descriptions changed. HR is completely unaware of this and would have a field day if they knew. Finally got accepted into a college program and sent in my notice today at noon. Within 30 minutes, my supervisor called me to ask why and if I would consider staying. While on the phone with him, my manager started messaging me asking if I would stay if she gave me a raise…

While on the phone with him, my manager started messaging me asking if I would stay if she gave me a raise and took some of the work off my plate that they added with the changes they made during COVID. It felt amazing saying nope and spending the next 20 minutes talking about all the work I do and how we are going to have to have a bunch of meetings with a bunch of other people to hand off that work that is critical to the department.
