About 2 years ago I went to work for a friend of mine and it has been the best job I ever had. I started at a relatively low pay but was guaranteed 40 hours pay per week even if we didn't work that much. I have received 2 raises totalling 60% more than I started out at and I have worked an average of 25 to 30 hours for the last 2 years. Last week I worked 1 day and got paid to play pool with the boss the rest of the week. If I need off I ask for it in advance and I'm paid for the time I take off like I was working. I took a chance because I never worked in this field before and I'm glad I did because it worked out fantastic for me.
