I work at a Kroger doing night stock currently looking for a new job, cause we are understaffed and the manager is not respecting our chosen hours.
Two weeks ago I took a 5 day medical leave from my psychiatrist that said I was experiencing a burn out.
Now tonight we have a snowstorm moving through our area and it rained most of the afternoon so any salt on the roads either couldn’t be put down or was washed away as the temp was dropping so icy roads either on my way in or most definitely on my way home.
I called in cause I don’t want to get in a car wreak.
My supervisor replied with “wow I’m surprised and I don’t know if I am getting the wrong signals of that message being passive aggressive toward me the most we has ever been.
I have had full attendance since I got back from my medical leave and called in due to very bad weather. Am I not supposed to take my safety into account when deciding weather to go to work or not.
