Supervisor wants me to change my personality to be “bubbly”

I'm an introvert that works as a receptionist, but for the most part I make up for that by being friendly, helpful, organized, and being knowledgeable about certain programs the other receptionist has trouble using. I've been at this job for several months now without anyone coming to me about complaints on my work ethic. Well today my supervisor or and her boss had me come to their office and told me that they want me to be “bubbly” from now on, and then the next moment claimed they didn't want me to change my personality when what they said prior was contrary to that and then kept reiterating that “its important I be bubbly/ourgoing for the job” even though thats not who I am. I'm “expected” to excitedly say hi and bye to literally every freaking person like some cheerleader, even if it's just another employee minding their own…

I'm “expected” to excitedly say hi and bye to literally every freaking person like some cheerleader, even if it's just another employee minding their own business passing by me that doesnt want to be bothered. They also apparently had a problem with me occasionally using my phone when there was literally nothing else to do at work, which they had never told me was a problem before any time they saw me doing it.

During this “meeting” I ended up crying in front of them out of anger and frustration and they told me to look at some paperwork at home “that definitely isn't a write up”. But when I finally calmed down and took a look at these papers at home with my bf, we both realized that these papers 100% look like a write up – they even require a signature for them. I haven't signed anything yet.

Anyways, they can put their “bubbly” personality demands up their ass, and I'm going to look for a new job. Maybe I'll end up quitting or getting fired for what whatever dumb reason they can think of – whichever comes first. If they had a problem with my personality and other habits they didn't like they should have said something much sooner instead of pulling this BS.
