This my first post. Met with HR today about an incident where there was an inappropriate use of physical force against me. I reported it and tried to press charges for assault, but I was denied. I recorded my attempt to press charges with a police officer and obtain a badge number. I was harassed by the assaulter the next time I went to work and have this recorded. I have been looking for attorneys and haven’t been successful yet. They are saying my case is not employment law but could be either related to assault (criminal) or another form of law (commercial litigation I think? The person who assaulted me isn’t employed by the same employer as me). I enjoy the job- the money is good and it’s low stress. I have another job, but it doesn’t pay as much as this one. One day of work at the job i’m suspended from can equal a two week paycheck from my other job. I just hope I don’t lose my job over this mess. It’s been a long day, and I just wanted to vent.
