So I recently made a post about how I was laid off unceremoniously from a position at the end of January. I immediately submitted my claim to EI (Canada's unemployment program) and was just waiting for the agency to submit my Record of Employment to the government so I could get my claim approved or denied.
That was Jan 21st. It's not Feb 16th, and they still have not uploaded my RoE to the government. If the gov't denies my EI claim, I have to apply for welfare through the province which will take even more time.
I'm trying to find information on whether or not I can take legal action for this but I'm not finding anything very helpful. Part of me wants to create an invoice for each day past the 20th it's taken to get my RoE at my previous rate, but I know they won't pay that.
Fuck temp agencies.
