Just thought I’d share this here just in case anyone was planning on taking an fmla leave to be very careful! They make the process confusing as possible on purpose. I was unexpectedly terminated while on a fmla leave. It’s very concerning to me as I was never informed if I did anything wrong. Looks like they just decided to punish me for it as I’ve seen the higher ups scoff at people who have taken leave before even during the covid pandemic.
The thing that added insult to injury was I had received a raise a few weeks prior. Also I was given a decent chunk of Tesla stock when I got hired which would be released as I continued working with them but now I’ll have no access to it and even If I got re hired as they don’t offer it anymore as a sign on bonus.
Be very careful when taking fmla leave let my experience serve as a warning companies will use it to snake you, feels like they didn’t want me to get my stocks the bastards gah. Just shows companies will use you and dispose of you at will and don’t care when times get hard for you. So much for being family after 3 years of busting balls.
