So I had a job interview yesterday for dispatcher at a transportation company (it turned out to be a school bus depot, that was never mentioned in the ad), and I have never had so many red flags in an interview before.
First off, the interview kicked off with the position I applied for not being what was actually available. I was told that someone put the wrong ad up and he insisted he “wasn’t a bait and switch guy”. Shortly after came “you know what’s the worst? Jewish women” when I mentioned my leaving my job before last because of difficult customers. I feel like I should have walked out right then and there.
The rest of the interview was basically him telling me about all of his past accomplishments in previous jobs, bragging about working while having covid because “nowadays everyone calls out with the sniffles” AND how he believed vaccines are a personal choice and that he was unvaxxed….driving buses full of children . He also was alluding to how he had to protect all the pretty women from the male employees or something. He was dodgy about actual salary and hours.
It’s frustrating because that was the first interview I’ve had after applying to 30+ places the last few months (I only had one other call back who text me 7am on Memorial Day wanting me to interview THAT day). WTF
