To start, I am fully vaxxed and boosted. I’m an assistant manager for a big retail store, and just got back from a trip. I wore a mask on my trip and on the plane, but this morning started to feel awful. My first day back to work is supposed to be tomorrow, so I took a Covid test, which obviously came back positive. (Only time I’ve gotten Covid, and man it does suck).
When I called my boss, he says “great, looks like I’ll have to cover four of your shifts. Guess I’ll figure it the hell out.” Then later says “maybe you shouldn’t have gone on a plane like an idiot.” (Coming from the man who just got back from Jamaica). No “feel better soon” or anything like that was said. Just says “see you Monday” and hangs up.
Thankfully next week is my last week at this job; I’ve stepped down to an entry level position at a different location while I begin internships for my Masters. But I feel for the people that still work for this idiot.
