Got a texted job offer today – unsolicited. Just out of nowhere. For a job that pays……(drumroll)…..TEN DOLLARS AN HOUR. I turned it down. I don't absolutely have to work right now, and even if I did, it would be a waste of time to leave the house for $10 an hour. I pay babysitters $16 an hour. This is the standard pay every where in Texas, it seems. Unless you have a STEM degree.
