The ABSOLUTE pain working with baby boomers/Gen X as a 25 year old

I hate it. I hate every second of it. Unfortunately my position is generally dominated by people with vastly more experience in the field (I assume I get hired because of the types of overall experience I’ve had and for the future?) which means more often than not I’m working with people who are 40+ years old. All I hear is constant passive bragging of how hard they work or how long they work. Then they continue to try and one up each other (passively of course because baby boomers/Gen X don’t have direct alternation in the workplace) about how much harder they work than the other person. It drives me nuts. Sorry, mini rant over. Edit: To any boomers/Gen X commenting as if you are being personally attacked, relax. It’s obvious this post is about the vast majority (generalization) and that it doesn’t apply to 100% of you guys.…

Also, it’s not an attack on you as a person. I love my boomers and Gen Xer’s. I just don’t love your guys weird love affair with the workplace.
