I work for a famous members-only wholesale retail club, which has a successful PR campaign convincing people that it is a “good” corporation to work for, the company that cares.
All lies.
I’ve had people scream in my face, spewing vulgarities and insulting me, and when I told management they said things like “You need tougher skin”, or “We won’t do anything, because they could create a big PR problem.”
They promote a figure showing that employees have “good” wages, yet roughly half of our hourly employees live below poverty level, and our CEO has an annual base-salary of over 8 million dollars per year.
