If I am running out of gas driving across a hot desert, and the only gas station for 100 miles says gas is $6 a gallon, I pay $6 a gallon. If I am an employer who needs a secretary, and the only only qualified secretary in a 100 mile radius wants $35 an hour, most employers will offer her $15 and then get mad when she won't take the job. Employees should be more like gas stations.
