In 2019 I worked at a company where I made $10.60 an hour. The boss was terrible for many reasons.
One day he comes in with an assload of fortune cookies. He dumps them out on the conference room table for employees and tells us they are his treat.
“They gave me extras at the Chinese restaurant because I come in often and am such a good tipper.”

It’s not even a pizza party! Or a food we enjoy/ asked for. Just random assorted fortune cookies.
We just left them there and he threw them away after several weeks had passed.
