I just wanted to say that we must stand together if we plan on pushing forward for workers rights, better pay and humane working conditions.
I have been seeing a lot of posts lately that are doubtful of the authenticity of certain posts where workers are being mistreated. I have experienced many abuses in my 30 years being employed and these posts of worker abuse are important if we mean to continue our fight for workers rights.
We must not shame or deride these brave people who have come forward to share their stories. Most of us try to help in any way that we can with legal advice and contact information, this is a positive example of what we can do as a community to help. We must foster and encourage this positive response in our community instead of victim blaming.
To all of you who have been afraid to speak out, you are among friends here, no matter what else defines us as individuals we are united as workers here in this community and we all stand with you.
