The Pizza Hut deception

If you order online you now pay £1.49 delivery surcharge, it specifically says you can save £1.49 by collecting. Despite the huge rise in fuel prices, me and my colleagues still get £1 per delivery, which hasn't changed in over 4 years. Not a single penny of the delivery surcharge goes to the drivers who sadly often average out at less than minimum pay. We no longer except cash so tips are basically gone. On top of that, I can't blame any customer for not tipping on top of the surcharge, as many no doubt expect that goes towards us. After all, sending us on delivery doesn't cost more, DOING the delivery does. Depending on traffic and route, £1 may get us a ROUND trip of 2-3 miles (£1.90 per litre here), many deliveries are 7+ miles round trip TLDR – The new delivery surcharge does not support the delivery…

TLDR – The new delivery surcharge does not support the delivery drivers at all, while understandably many customers may assume it does. Many delivery's now cost the drivers fuel money.
