The Reason Crappy Jobs Still Exists Is Because There Are People Willing To Work Them

So plenty of people here talk about how their job don’t pay enough and the work environment sucks or having to deal with crappy bosses or managers. However, the reason these jobs exist is because there are people willing to stay at these jobs and bosses know that. Many people stay at these jobs because they need to pay bills. I understand with rising costs of living and inflation, it can be difficult to afford all your bills. However, we need to be honest here, many people also waste money on unnecessary stuff. Many people rack up credit card debt, have car loans, mortgage, buy expensive clothes, eat out constantly, etc when they really can’t afford these things. I know some of these things are necessities to some, but I’m pretty sure many people can cut out unnecessary expenses. Another problem is companies spend a lot on advertisements to get us to buy things we don’t need. And the school system doesn’t teach us about money. So we have this whole rigged system of people getting into debt for stuff they don’t need which keeps people stuck in jobs they don’t necessarily like in order to pay these bills. If you’re in a position where you don’t like your job but can’t quit because you need to pay bills, yes you should try finding a better job, yes we should keep protesting for better pay and work conditions, but you should also cut your bills so perhaps you don’t have to work as much if you don’t want to or you can even save up some money to take a break and figure things out. We should reduce our dependence on a job to pay our bills. If more people quit these crappy jobs, then more bosses will realize they need to pay and treat workers fairly or nobody will work for them.
