they argue that it will reduce choice
- most Americans get what their company provides, they don't get to choose their insurer and many dont get a choice of a good plan and a good insurer, only of maybe 2-4 options the company decided to offer and that offering might be a few hundred dollars a month and a $5,000 deductible
They argue that it will cause long wait times
- looks at every hospital in America during covid – yeah that seems to be happening any ways – turns out when given health care that is affordable people will use it
They argue that it will cost to much
- The average American spends about 10 and 15% of their income on health insurance premiums through their employer and most experts agree that their will be cost savings from having a single payer
They argue that we will need to ration care
- we already do that – just for the average person its deciding if they can afford their deductible – if medical needs to be expanded to meet demand than doesn't that create the opportunity for profit?
