Remember how America gained its independence to begin with? It wasn’t by protesting. It wasn’t by ignorantly voting a certain way. It wasn’t by burying your heads in the sand and hoping for the best. Writing snarky memes and tweets didn’t do it either.
People got up. People got violent. It wasn’t comfortable. It wasn’t pretty. But it was necessary. Our founding fathers, who were by no means perfect, did have the foresight to see that this day could come again. Our constitution says we not only have the right, but the duty, to stand up to an oppressive and tyrannical government.
It’s time to act.
Sure, you’ve got a lot to lose. Most people do. But what kind of life are we going to have if we keep playing by the rules?
