So I've been lurking all week to see if anyone mentioned this. Last week in Jamaica there were a series of strikes. While I was very glad to hear about these strikes and was secretly proud, a lot of people were condemning the striking.
The first strike, as mentioned, was by the water company. They shut everything off so the country was without water. This also really goes to show why monopolies should not exist.

Second strike was by air traffic controllers which caused us to close our airports:

I was really hoping this would strike a revolution out here but everything has died down and it feels like everyone has moved on.
