My mom for example. She works at a boujee furniture store and even though she despises animal exploitation, she has to give her sales pitch every day about how “this couch is premium because this leather is all cut from one cow” etc etc. She has to go into detail about the quality of the fucking…skin. Did you know the most premium expensive leather comes from unborn calf fetuses because its the softest?
It makes her so horrified and sad to have to do. She downplays it a lot but i know shes so unhappy.
And what else. Clothing stores? So you can sell the hair and skin of animals that are in a cage somewhere? Cashier at a grocery store? So you have to physically handle dead bodies that have been prepared to be eaten, ring them up and hand them to people? Shes too physically weak to be wait staff at a vegan restaurant.
There are jobs you can work as a vegan dont get me wrong, but for all the vegan people stuck in professions that require you to participate in animal exploitation, i am so fucking sorry. i hope you find a way out. thank god i work in digital goods.
