They are blinded

I dont really ever post here or anywhere else for that matter, but something happened today that I just had to post and talk about. I am a restaurant manager at a company that focuses heavily on work-life and taking care of our team members, and today while at work two of these team members started talking economy/politics. They mentioned the minimum wage going up and said it's so dumb and they'd wish minimum wage would stay down, that we're all suffering right now because minimum wage has gone up. I turned around and question that line of thought, then mentioned “if that's the case, next time you ask for a raise I'll remind you how I'd hate to raise prices so I won't be paying you anything more”, it took a little while but after all day of pointing out fallacies with the wage increase they think is so…

I turned around and question that line of thought, then mentioned “if that's the case, next time you ask for a raise I'll remind you how I'd hate to raise prices so I won't be paying you anything more”, it took a little while but after all day of pointing out fallacies with the wage increase they think is so horrible they started coming around, although not entirely.

They still believe minimum wage should not rise as much, and that wages are currently way too high. Mind you, they are both minimum wage workers.
