Hey all, i don’t know what to do about this/if anything can be done, so I thought I’d ask here.
My fiancé took a job teaching theatre classes for a few weeks. He is not making much money – 1000 for three weeks of work. Still, we are in a tight spot financially so anything helps right now. Plus he is very passionate about his job.
He was supposed to get his full stipend on Friday, but he never received it. He talked to his boss and the coordinator for his job and they chalked it up to an HR misunderstanding. However, it’s looking like he won’t get that money until the end of August now due to the pay schedules of the company. We were relying on that money and really can’t wait until then to get it.
Can we do anything? He still has a week of this class to teach, but I don’t want him even going back without the money. If he does that though he might forfeit his whole stipend.
