So today when I went to clock in I check my last week's hours to see my total for the week. I wanted to see if they updated it because i forgot to clock in for like 30ish minutes. I go to check it and im missing an hour.. when I clocked out on Friday I had 41ish hours. I now have 39:44 total. So I tell my boss I'm missing an hour or more from my clock.
Fast forward through our day TODAY its around 1pm and they changed my time again by 15 minutes and we also got a video from our boss stating:
If the job is under an hour away you can't clock in until you get there at the job site. If the job is over an hour away you can clock in as you're leaving the facility.
Now keep in mind, we have to load material into our rigs and get supplies every morning no matter how much we prep the night before. We are also required to be there at 7am every morning mon-fri.
Under the Fair Labor laws, any work off the clock is illegal, but every morning we are required to go start our trucks and figure out where we are going and what we are doing for the day. Then we have to get material loaded and then leave. Usually we get out of the shop around 7:30ish but sometimes it takes till 8am or even later depending on how long it takes to get loaded.
They are skimming our hours and also not letting us clock in. I don't know what to do honestly im very frustrated.
Also the reddit app won't let me upload the video something about it having to be 1/kb or larger I dont know
