Looking for a new job – have been applying for a few months now. I am 30 so still young – and I have 5 years of work experience. Despite this – I have nearly no chance to get another job.
One rejection I got was because I did not fulfill the requirements 100% – so they couldnt even consider me – like wow.
Another job wrote that the ongoing application process is so overcourded that they cannot consider me. Because the position is allready filled…. How can the position be filled if there is an ongoing application process?
But the worst I have seen was this:
A position I applied to, liked my resume so they send me the next steps I have to go through if I want the job:
Step 1: Zoom Meeting (30 Min)
Step 2: Personal Interview (1 hour)
Step 3: Online scientific evaluation of my skills (2 hours)
Step 4: Another Zoom meeting in order to discuss the results of Step 3 (1hour)
Step 5: Another 1-2 interviews (1 hour)
Like WTF is this? Thats like 6-7 steps (if liking your application is step one) and like 2 months of waiting and work to get a position in Middle Management. This is just insane and unnecessary. This is sick.
This takes away all my ambition to get a new job – this takes away all my ambition to even work. When I see stuff like this I want to quit immediately.
