I'm absolutely lost right now. I don't know what else to do and amazon itself has told me I can't do anything else. I've spent tens of hours on the phone with the ERC.
3 weeks ago today I had a hip surgery done after not being able to walk for 5 months due to a bone spur and loose hip joint and started a medical leave in early november. Between an ugly combination of my doctors office not filling out my leave paperwork correctly on 6 separate occasions and my case manager being completely absent, I may loose my job.
I am completely desperately right now because of this. I found out that my doctors office faxed amazon a copy of my leave papers as well as emailing me them and myself uploading them though a to z after calling the ERC for the umpteenth time tonight and finding out that because it was an exact copy of the leave paper it extends the time my claims manager has to process these documents. Or so that's what I've been told by every ERC representative I've talked to.
Amazon's system expects me to work tomorrow and I'm at -79 hours of UPT and odds are if you go below 80 you get fired automatically. I have kept contact with the ERC and my local hr and have emails explaining the situation as well as my case manager having 13 unread case updates due to my frantic calls. So evidence to reinstate myself is not an issue.
The outcome of my possibly being fired is the fact that not only do I go though Amazon's insurance and they are prossessing my surgery things but I also have my bills rolling around within the next week. I have already burnt through my savings and I'm looking for solutions for what looks to be the incoming worst case scenario.
I can't work or do uber or any second hand things because I still can't drive or walk. Last time I spoke to my doctor I got the OK to give plasma to hopefully make the cut for my car insurance.
I'm just so lost on what to do. It feels like I'm trapped and I've already been depressed because I haven't been able to walk for 5 months.
