Antiwork

Threw out my back trying to carry the shifts these past few weeks, I missed this whole week due to the pain and, as I was calling in for this latest day, the manager asked me if I was *really* planning to come back to work at some point.

What kind of elaborate ruse does she think this is? I have to use their app to mark myself absent so others can fill in and then I have to call the restaurant to make sure the MIC knows for sure that I'm not going to be there (just in case they're too busy to check the app) every single day. I'm not getting paid sick leave or anything. What do they think I have to gain from faking? I've been so worried these past few weeks about trying to ease their burden, even now when I'm physically unable to help, and all I get in return is an accusatory question like that… I'm wondering if I really should quit just because they showed their true colors.
