Throwback to that one time when I was 17 (a little less than 4 years ago) while working at a grocery chain that has been in the news lately. (Got fired, of course). I’ve just been thinking about the jobs I’ve worked and this one probably the most annoying to think about. The boss told me that my manager would tell me when to go on break. She never did. I asked her about a break and she started screaming at me in front of customers at the checkout. Saying things like “I am not your fucking babysitter! You were supposed to go on break a long time ago!” So, I was about 45 minutes from the end of my shift when I finally took my 30 minute break because my manager never told me to go on break even after the boss informed me that she would be the one to tell me when. The next day, I was fired for taking my break too late. I’d rate that job a 1/10. Kinda hoping she sees this and knows who it is lol. L management 🤩
