I’ve only worked 2 1/2 yrs in this prison. I mean profession.
I woke up this morning still having nightmares about going back to work. Stressfully running around. My boss on my case. Just general panic/anxiety.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m an introvert… but I’ve worked 11 yrs of my life. I’ve pulled 12hr shifts, 16hrs, night shifts, overtime… to get to where I want to be: have a home, food and just enjoy life.
So, why do I have to keep working to maintain this? Isn’t 11yrs enough!? People scoff and say they’ve been working for 30-40 yrs. That “it doesn’t feel like work if you enjoy it”
Have I just not found the “joy” of working for our community yet?
