Today is my last shift as a non-union barista at Starbucks

Over the past few months we've been fighting Starbucks tooth and nail to gain ground in our unionizing effort, and finally on Wednesday February 16th in Mesa, Arizona we will win! I'm a barista (shift supervisor) at the Power & Baseline location, and today is my last shift until the vote! All throughout this process we've had to endure captive audience meetings, text messages from corporate spamming our phones, and gaslighting from our managers and corporate visitors. It was all worth it. In the end we will have the voice and the power of a union backing us and we can demand better working conditions and wages etc. If you are looking to organize a union at your Starbucks location, DON'T WAIT! Go to r/Starbucks and read the pinned guide, it will definitely help. I'm very excited for the future, and the journey that we're about to embark on! Solidarity…

Solidarity to all the other baristas joining the movement, and as well solidarity to the labor movement as a whole! We can enact change!
