About 2 months back, I got hired on as a night shift supervisor doing building maintenance and repair. Both came with a pay premium. There was a full turnover on the cleaning staff and everyone left and they hired on new employees that I am now training.
I got on the topic of pay with one of the new hires and come to find out, the company had increased starting wages to incentivize the new hires to stay.
So now, all the new hires that I am supervising, training and were hired as basic cleaners are getting paid the exact same wage I am.
