Tons of mixed messages, should I even pursue employment with them?

Good evening folks, sorry about formatting on mobile. So over the last 6 months I have been trying to find a job local to me in my small town. Applied at 6 or 7 places and only have gotten 2 calls back. One I decided not to pursue due to them not giving full information on the job application then saying I would be doing a lot more for less pay. I applied at the local Ups location and have gotten a ton of mixed messages.

I filled out the application and was accepted at the local UPS, as a driver. Was scheduled for orientation this morning at 8 am. On Friday I got a text from a local number saying she was from UPS and said not to come to the orientation, and to bring paper work in tomorrow morning. Ok cool I can work with that.

All the the texts I had been getting from robo UPS numbers had been calling today my first day and had been saying orientation. Thought nothing of it and didn’t show up this morning, I was listening to my local “manager” (I’m assuming).

A few minutes ago I got a email saying I missed my first day of work.

With all of this confusion I don’t know if it would even be worth pursuing employment with these people.
