I had left work on maternity leave… after I had to threaten involving a lawyer because they were telling me they “didn’t feel comfortable” giving me my PTO a week before my induction date which I had 15 days of PTO (I only wanted 5 days of that)… my work was horrible and absolutely refused to acknowledge you as a human… I go on leave. Have not heard a word from my employer which… the come back date was a month ago… I understand I could have called myself… and asked what was going on, but I sorta was loving the fact I hadn’t heard from the toxic assholes. I finally file for unemployment because I just assumed I was fired… which I didn’t mind. Sure enough I’m FINALLY hearing from them “we didn’t fire you? We’ve been trying to contact you” (a lie, haven’t heard a single word from then since I left for maternity leave) now I’m getting blown up with calls and emails about “we’ve been trying to reach you for months” (a lie) honestly I just want to stay ghost… because of how poorly they treated me and how crooked they are with pay… idk.
