Hi! I need professional advice on what my options are.
I applied to a job on Indeed. The boss sent me an in-app message to contact him further. We spoke briefly, and my interview was later that same day. Since I didn’t have experience with the business (plant nursery), I asked if I could train Thursday & Friday to start Monday. He agreed.
I went to work for a full day 9am-5pm on Thursday. I called Friday morning, however, to tell him it wouldn’t be a good fit for me and that I wouldn’t be returning. It was too physically demanding as I have chronic hip pain. He said he understood. After our phone conversation, I asked if I would still be paid for working. After two days, I was able to speak to him.
However, it was barely a conversation and just him reading a script of his response, hanging up on me, and then blocking me.
I didn’t sign any paperwork when I went for the interview Thursday.
