The last job I had before my health failed I was in 24 years, I started on agency got taken on full time and trained in multiple departments with a promotion dangled over me.
Then finally they said, train all these new starters up and we will promote you as their team leader.
Do I do what they say including choosing on to train to be my cover for holiday etc. Pretty sure you know what's coming next.
The girl I trained was given my promotion and made my boss, turns out she was banging one of the management.
I walked out and got as far as my car, when they offered me a different promotion to stop me walking. (Shift supervisor was a decent guy and basically had threatened to walk unless I got rewarded)
So I got made a mixer op (in charge of making all the sauce and mash mixes). Meant I was on my own and got the pay rise. I still had to report to the girl though when she was running a main food line.
Ofc she later gets drunk in town vandalized a doctor's merc and arrested.
I ended up years later in charge of 35 ppl but my health was failing by then and had to take light duties until I finally was signed off as too sick to work in 2020.
The girl? Last I heard from her uncle she's doing 10 years for repeated weed growing and robberies..
