I have been working at a local hardware store for about a year. I have really bad anxiety, and I hate calling in sick to work because of it. My old manager told me to never worry, just call in and they will get it figured (as a employer should). I havnt taken a full sick day since the beginning of May.
I woke up this morning with a horrible migraine, feeling horrible. So I called the store and the assistant manager told me that someone already called off today and that I couldn't and she will see me in a couple hours and then hung up.
I am plum upset over here. I did my due diligence, and I truly don't feel well. But now I am feeling pressure to go to work because they won't get the shift covered.
I don't know what to do. I am really thinking about saying screw it and not coming in tonight.
