Feel free to take down if this isn't the appropriate place for this.
I was just hoping I might be able to get some help/advice from the folks here. I've always had trouble navigating the job hunt. I find it annoying, intimidating, and overwhelming.
Most recently, I've been on the search for something part-time so I can have some more stability in my life. I've been a freelance writer for over four years now and it's just too unpredictable and I'm beyond burnt out. I've been applying to things and getting nothing or rejections in return.
I'm a college graduate (Bachelor of English) and ever since I graduated in 2015, I haven't been able to figure out where my skillset really fits. It doesn't really help that I'm neurodivergent and feel really uncomfortable with phone work and customer service which might lead to me getting yelled out (which seems to be a lot of customer service these days).
Is there any advice you guys might have for actually landing interviews? I know my references aren't super because I've been basically doing gig work for so long. I've been told my resume looks good, but I'm suspicious.
I figured I'd ask here because I know there are probably many of you who understand how to navigate this stuff better. If anyone is willing to help or even just give their two cents, I'd appreciate it!
